FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: NOISE FOR THE NEEDY 2010 ANNOUNCES THIS YEAR’S LINEUP!

APRIL 29, 2010, SEATTLE, WA: Seattle-based non profit Noise For The Needy, an organization that raises money for charitable causes through the production of live music shows, has announced the lineup for this year’s festival, which promises to be a great one! Headliners include The Album Leaf, Visqueen, John Vanderslice, Portland Cello Project, Horse Feathers, Tiny Vipers , The Maldives, Whalebones, Thunderheist, and Virgin Islands. Over 70 bands are confirmed for this year’s NFTN fest (with more confirmations coming soon).

This year’s NFTN beneficiary, Teen Feed, serves over 11,000 meals each year to over 600 homeless youth in the Seattle area. The organization, founded in 1989, averages 40-50 guests each evening, and serves meals six nights weekly. This year, Teen Feed (www.teenfeed.org) is adding a seventh night. This amazing organization is the only provider of meals specifically to youth and young adults in the University District that is open regularly Sunday through Friday.

Headliners include the 1990s, Art Brut, The Constantines, Point Juncture Wa, Grand Archives, Crystal Antlers,  Brent Amaker & the Rodeo, Adam Stephens (Two Gallants) and The Finite Plan, I was a King, New Faces, The Whore Moans, Throw Me The Statue, and More. This year’s shows will take place at several venues across Seattle June 10th through 14th, will feature over 40 bands, and benefits Transitional Resources, a licensed mental health center that provides recovery oriented services and affordable housing to adults with the most serious and persistent forms of mental illness who would otherwise be incarcerated, hospitalized or homeless.
